This course will satisfy 3 hours of continuing education as well as meet the requirement for any team members or supervising brokers to take a NREC approved CE course on Real Estate Teams and Leadership. In the course, we will examine the concept of teams in real estate sales. We’ll look at the definition and history of teams in the real estate industry, as well as the statutes and rules that apply to them in Nebraska and nationally.
The first section in this course is an introduction to Nebraska real estate teams, including Nebraska licenses, Nebraska Revised Statute 81-885.01, and evolution of the real estate team.
This section is followed by a 3 question quiz.
Next up is the introduction to real estate teams generally, including sections on how a real estate team is defined, building a team, managing a real estate team, the advantages and disadvantages of teams, teams and agency relationship, formation of an agency relationship, parties to an agency agreement, creation of an agency relationship, types of authority and agency, responsibilities of the parties, the termination of an agency relationship, agency and the law, agency specifically in the real estate industry, and back to how teams can work with clients.
The student will then take a 10 question quiz.
The next section is real estate teams: the Nebraska perspective. This includes Nebraska’s demographic information, the updated changes to team law, the ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ of Nebraska real estate teams, more cautionary language from the state, team advertising, commission, referral fees, and other pay for teams, NREC investigative and disciplinary powers, and continuing education for team members.
This is followed by a 17 question quiz.
The last section is a Nebraska real estate teams activity.
