This 12-Hour New Jersey SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) Continuing Education Course was created to help New Jersey MLO meet their professional development requirements. This course covers the federal aspects of mortgage loan origination, as well as New Jersey-specific laws, regulations, and procedures. Among the timely issues presented here are the role of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act), the New Jersey state version of the SAFE Act, ethics for MLOs, lending standards for non-traditional mortgages, and updated laws and regulations as well as enforcement powers in mortgage loan origination. In addition to those, we'll go over some of the highlights of the Truth-In-Lending-Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (TILA-RESPA) Integrated Mortgage Disclosure Act (TRID). Plus, there's plenty of New Jersey-specific regulation, such as the New Jersey Residential Mortgage Lending Act, New Jersey Administrative Code, and New Jersey's anti-money-laundering laws. Additionally, in this course you'll be provided with quizzes and activities to help hone your mortgage loan originating skills.
