CE Requirements to Renew a PA Mortgage Loan Originator License


In the state of Pennsylvania MLO license holders must obtain 8 total hours that consist of:

  • 3 Hours of Federal Law Updates
  • 2 Hours of Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection, & Fair Lending
  • 2 Hours of Non-Traditional Mortgage Products
  • 1 Hour of PA Law

MLO licensees who did not complete their education before December 31st are required to take Late CE. Licensees must take late CE for each year they have missed.

8 Hour Pennsylvania SAFE Comprehensive 2018 MLO Continuing Education Course

8 Hour Course $ 71.00

The 8-Hour Pennsylvania SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Continuing Education Course is designed to meet the 8-hour continuing education requirement for Pennsylvania MLOs. The course includes a review of federal regulations and agencies, such as the NMLS, as well as the mandatory hour of education on Pennsylvania state regulations and requirements.

This course will expire on 6/30/2019. You must complete the course by this date in order to receive credit.


Late CE: National Requirements (7904)

8 Hour Course $ 45.00

This is the 2018 Late CE course. This is only for licensees who failed to complete the CE required for their 2018 renewal during the 2018 calendar year.

Licensees who hold a Mortgage Loan Originator license are required to obtain continuing education in order to renew that license. This course covers the National Requirements which consist of:

  • 3 Hours of Federal Law Updates
  • 2 Hours of Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection, & Fair Lending
  • 2 Hours of Non-Traditional Mortgage Products

 

This course does not cover the state specific content. You will need to purchase a second class in order to fulfill that requirement.

7 Hour SAFE Core 2019 MLO CE Pennsylvania

7 Hour Course $ 45.00

This 7 hour course of instruction for mortgage loan originators in Pennsylvania is designed to provide the mandatory Core education on mortgage lending, reverse mortgages, and the federal regulations governing MLOs. This course will address a variety of topics including:

  • Federal lending laws such as the SAFE Act
  • ECOA and the TILA-RESPA Rule
  • Ethics, fraud, and non-traditional mortgage loan products

Late CE 1 Hour PA SAFE 2018 State Law Course (10127)

1 Hour Course $ 30.00

This is the 2018 Late CE course. This is only for licensees who failed to complete the CE required for their 2018 renewal during the 2018 calendar year.

A mortgage loan originator who completes this late continuing education class will gain 1 hour of instruction on the laws, rules and regulations that govern the activities of mortgage loan originators. The class will start with a brief look at the general regulatory framework and then will take a closer look at specific state laws and rules affecting MLOs.

1 Hour PA SAFE 2018 State Law Course

1 Hour Course $ 30.00

A mortgage loan originator who completes this class will gain 1 hour of instruction on the laws, rules and regulations that govern the activities of mortgage loan originators. The class will start with a brief look at the general regulatory framework and then will take a closer look at specific state laws and rules affecting MLOs.
