Knock out half of your CE requirements with this 12-hour package for South Dakota real estate licensees. It was satisfy 6 hours of required topics, as well as 6 hours of elective topics.

This course begins with a review of real estate law basics, including the forms of ownership such as trusts and common interest ownership. Then, we'll review the legal descriptions of real property including the survey system as well as metes and bounds.

After that we'll look at the process of an issues that accompany the transfer of a title. This can include property encumbrances such as liens, easements, and more. We'll review the escrow process and various aspects of title insurance, like how to handle a clouded title.

Then, the course will cover the ways that property values are determined for tax purposes, both state and local. We'll review basic contract law, including what is required for a valid contract, and when a contract is considered performed. Real estate-specific contracts will also be discussed, and listing and sales agreements are covered in depth.

The final subject in course will be Integrated Mortgage Disclosures, which will review the most recent disclosure requirements that lenders are subject to during a property transaction.
