The course begins with a discussion of ethics: what they are, why they're important, and how they apply to real estate professionals. Then, we'll move on to a discussion of fair housing regulations, including the history that made them necessary.
We'll briefly cover the legal updates to real estate-related laws in Virginia, and we'll discuss the need for flood insurance.
After that, we'll talk about the arrangement of agency, both in general as well as specific to real estate professionals. We'll also review the most common contracts licensees use, including listing and sales agreements.
Then, we'll move on to real property law, which handles topics like ownership, trusts, and common interest ownership. We'll also talk about some different professional real estate activities, outside of sales.
Finally, we'll review advertising regulations, and activities prohibited by antitrust laws. The course includes periodic quizzes to test student learning.
