This 24-hour course is designed to meet the CE needs of Virginia real estate brokers, and includes 24 hours of approved content.
The course begins with a discussion of broker management and supervision practices. We'll talk about the characteristics of successful brokers, as well as Virginia broker law.
Then we'll discuss the ins and outs of supervising offices and licensees. This includes the development of office policies and manuals.
We'll also spend some time of the importance of real estate safety, including a discussion of risks and methods to protect licensees against those risks.
Next, we'll address ethics, including what they are, why they matter, and how they apply to real estate professionals. This will be followed with a review of fair housing history and legislation, before we talk about state law updates and flood insurance.
We'll move on next to agency, liability insurance, and contracts that real estate professionals must be comfortable with. We'll discuss the basics of real property law, including forms of ownership, and then cover advertising.
Our discussion of advertising will include guidance in developing a marketing plan in compliance with advertising laws, as well as a discussion of fraud issues. The course will incorporate several quizzes to test student learning.
