The course begins with a review of real property law and ownership, including common interest ownership. Then, a discussion of title issues and the process of transferring a title follows, including a discussion of encumbrances that can complicate a property transfer.

We’ll also talk about fair housing issues in real estate, before we move on to agency. Here, we’ll talk about the types of agency that exist, parties to an agency agreement, and the duties of each party.

In Contract Review, we’ll discuss basic contract law, before moving on to real estate-specific contracts and clauses. We’ll practice some basic math the licensees should feel comfortable using in transactions, before discussing valuation of properties, loans, and financing.

This will include an overview of the lending regulations that mortgage lenders must observe. We’ll also cover some of the loan programs and arrangements that exist, before we conclude the course with a discussion on financing documents used in real estate.

Sheri has been an online instructor for AYPO's Real Estate education classes for over 5 years and is a licensed real estate instructor across the United States.

Growing up in a military family, Sheri became very patriotic, developed an adventurous spirit, and grew passionate about helping people.

In 2005 Sheri became a principal broker and opened Oregon Ranch & Home Real Estate in order to better serve her clients. She received the honor of being ranked #5 in Southern Oregon for dollar volume sold for 2008, during one of the most challenging years the market has seen in decades.
