Salesperson Real Estate Continuing Education Package

Effective January 1, 2019, Arizona real estate salespersons will be required to complete one hour each of the following subjects: Firewise, Arizona Water, and Deed Fraud. Arizona Real Estate License Renewal and Continuing Education Requirements

Starting January 1, 2025, all Arizona real estate professionals — brokers and sales licensees — must complete new one-hour courses on Arizona water, deed fraud, and Firewise topics as part of their continuing education (CE).

In Arizona, your real estate license must be renewed every two years through the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE). To renew, you must complete the required CE hours based on your license type and pass each course's final exam with a score of at least 80%. You may retake the exam as many times as needed to achieve a passing score.

Arizona Broker License Renewal Requirements

Designated brokers must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including:

  • 3 hours — Agency Law
  • 3 hours — Contract Law
  • 3 hours — Disclosure
  • 3 hours — Fair Housing Issues
  • 3 hours — Real Estate Legal Issues
  • 9 hours — Broker Management Clinics
  • 1 hour — Deed Fraud
  • 1 hour — Firewise
  • 1 hour — Arizona Water

Total: 30 CE hours (including 3 elective hours in any topic)

Arizona Sales License Renewal Requirements

Sales licensees must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years, including:

  • 3 hours — Agency Law
  • 3 hours — Commissioner's Standards
  • 3 hours — Contract Law
  • 3 hours — Disclosure
  • 3 hours — Fair Housing Issues
  • 3 hours — Real Estate Legal Issues
  • 1 hour — Deed Fraud

Total: 24 CE hours (including 3 elective hours in any topic)

CE Course Exam & Daily Credit Requirements

To receive credit for any Arizona real estate continuing education course, you must:

  • Pass the course's final exam with a minimum score of 80%
  • Retake the exam as many times as necessary until you pass

In addition, Arizona real estate licensees may only receive credit for up to nine CE hours in any 24-hour period.
