This course gives the California real estate agent 7 credit hours toward renewing their license, covering a variety of topics.
The course is split into three different parts, each covering their own set of topics. The first part begins by covering the topic of real estate business management, going over the qualities of an effective manager, the primary functions of the manager, and the different office policies used, including how to effectively implement them in the business.
The second part of the course is on the topic of financial recordkeeping, beginning with the financial reports section. This section describes balance sheets and double entry bookkeeping. The next section after that covers property management recordkeeping, followed by the other records that real estate professionals are expected to retain in the course of their business.
The last part focuses on real estate safety when showing properties. The topic addresses various threats that may be present during a showing, and includes safety strategies that can be implemented to deal with a variety of situations. One of the main points of this topic is for the agent to learn how to protect themselves, the people touring the property, and the property being shown. To finish off the course, we end with a look at the concepts of liability and insurance.
Throughout the course there are in-text questions, to test your knowledge as you go. After each of the three parts, a 10-question quiz will be presented in order to test you on the material we’ve covered. Once the course is finished, there will be a final exam of 20 questions. After you finish the exam, you’ll be 7 hours closer to renewing your license, all at your own pace!
