This 3 Hour course is approved by the Missouri Real Estate Commission as 3 hours of credit. It covers Fair Housing and the related laws, communicating Fair Housing rights and responsibilities to clients and licensees, the history of Fair Housing and how it has impacted real estate, understanding the legal processes involved in investigating and resolving fair housing claims, and enforcing compliance with Fair Housing and related laws among employees.
This course begins with the history of Fair Housing, the impact of Fair Housing on real estate professionals and their reaction to Fair Housing laws, an overview of the Fair Housing Act, an examination of other Civil Rights laws, and the Fair Housing-related Presidential Executive Orders. The course continues with an introduction to anti-discrimination laws, including specific Fair Housing and other Anti-Discrimination statutes, and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The course concludes with a 30 question final exam.
