1 Hour NM SAFE 2018 State Law Course

This 1 hour New Mexico continuing education course covers the 1 hour, state specific content dictated by the NMLS, and ensures continued licensure for mortgage loan originators, according to the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008. This course is made up of two modules, and they both serve to satisfy the 1 hour portion of the student's continuing education requirements.

In Module 1, the student will go through about a half hour of information, in topics such as:

• Regulation of Mortgage Loan Originators

• Licensure of New Mexico MLOs

• Licensure for Current MLOs

• Challenge Process for Information in the NMLS

In Module 2, the student will go through another half hour of information, including topics like:

• The Practice of Loan Origination

• Prohibited Practices by MLOs and Consequences

• Enforcement of Violations Against MLOs

• Hearing Procedures

During the course, there will be in-text questions to help the student gauge their knowledge while moving through the class, quizzes after each module, and activities in the form of case studies after a module, to test the student's learning ability as they go.

There is also a final exam of 15 questions at the end of the class.
