This is the 2 hour Michigan Real Estate 2021 Law class required by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) for brokers and salespersons. The course will cover several topics including compliance with laws and new rules, the status of ongoing rule changes concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic including the eviction moratorium, property taxes, technology, and legal risks under the pandemic. You will learn about the status of the Michigan First-Time Home Buyer Savings Program, and the status of civil rights amendments. It will deal with advertising and fair housing concerns, the dangers of love letters, and includes a section on the use of drones and drone footage. The course will conclude by covering three court cases that deal with the topics of surplus proceeds from tax-foreclosure sales, the zoning conflicts concerning short-term rentals, and the establishment of the right to improve easements.
There is no exam required for this 2 hour course.
