Arizona Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements for Sales Licenses and Designated Broker Licenses

In Arizona, your designated broker or sales license must be renewed every two years. To do that, you must complete the mandatory continuing education (CE) hours for your respective license.

The Arizona real estate continuing education requirement for designated brokers includes at least 30 hours of CE. These CE hours must contain:

  • 3 hours in agency law
  • 3 hours in contract law
  • 3 hours in disclosure
  • 3 hours in fair housing issues
  • 3 hours in real estate legal issues
  • 9 hours of broker management clinics

The remaining 6 hours of CE credit may be in any subject.

The CE requirement for a sales license mandates at least 24 hours of continuing education. These hours must include:

  • 3 hours in agency law
  • 3 hours in commissioner’s standards
  • 3 hours in contract law
  • 3 hours in disclosure
  • 3 hours in fair housing issues
  • 3 hours in real estate legal issues

The remaining 6 hours can be in any subject.

In any single 24-hour period, Arizona real estate licensees can only receive credit for up to 9 CE hours. The AYPORealEstate course delivery system can manage the timing of CE credit application to help ensure you meet this requirement.

Information on Final Exams:

In order to receive credit for an Arizona real estate continuing education course, you must pass the final exam with a score of at least 80%. You may take the exam as many times as necessary to pass.
