8 Hour SAFE Comprehensive 2018 MLO CE

  • 8 Hour Course
  • $45.00

This course is the perfect continuing education choice for the Mortgage Loan Originator licensed in the state of Arkansas to renew their license. It covers all the requirements for the Arkansas Securities Department and for the NMLS as well, with 8 hours of topics that include all the required federal content.

Starting with a short history of mortgage lending in America up to and through the real estate crises of the 2000s, the course will move into those organizations responsible for oversight of the mortgage industry and some of the tools they use to provide protection for borrowers in America, including the federal SAFE Act, which we then examine more closely. We follow this with a look at TILA-RESPA Integrated Mortgage Disclosures.

The second module examines more closely the need for ethics and professionalism in the mortgage lending industry today. We'll journey from there into the different types of mortgage fraud and the trouble they can cause for consumers and for mortgage loan originators as well. Then we'll examine how consumer protections have been put in place with fair lending practices to insure a fair and open environment for the consumer.

Finally, a portion of the course provides an in-depth examination of lending standards for nontraditional mortgage loans that include adjustable rate mortgages, subprime and high-cost loans, and reverse mortgages as well.

While we are working together, we'll provide you with case studies and in-text quizzes so you can use them to spot-check your knowledge. These exercises will also help prepare you for the final exam that comes at the conclusion of the class.
