Colorado 4 Hour Law (ACU) Update Course (2017)

In this 4 hour course, real estate professionals will be provided with the information that is needed to operate in the state of Colorado. Completion of this course will count toward the 12 hours of Annual Commission Update Courses and 24 total hours of education required to be completed within the three year license cycle.

This course covers the following topics:

• Compliance Issues

  • Compliance Issues discusses various situations and circumstances all related to compliance with the law. Included under this topic is examination such things as the Seller's Property Disclosure, agency and transaction broker relationships, sign crossing, and deeds.

• General Practice Issues

  • General Practice Issues addresses situations that are often experienced by real estate professionals in the regular course of their job. This topic includes a look at things like problems with contracts, lead based paint disclosures, and the management of multiple offers.

• Changes to Approved Contracts and Forms

  • This topic explores both the new forms promulgated and approved by the Real Estate Commission and the existing forms that were altered during the previous year.

• Regulations and Resources

  • This topic is broken into two segments. The first segment talks about legislation that has been put into place that changes the way the real estate industry is regulated. This first segment also looks at the sunset review process and the recommendations that came out of the most recent sunset review. The second segment presents resources that real estate professionals seeking help or advice can rely on.

This course includes a 10 question final exam.
