1 Hour GA SAFE 2021 State Law Course

  • 1 Hour Course
  • $39.00

This 1 hour course on Georgia rules and regulations fulfills the state elective requirement for annual renewal. Licensed mortgage loan originators in the state must take 8 hours of continuing education each year, with 3 hours being dedicated to Federal law, 2 hours of ethics, 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending, and this 1 hour of state-specific content.

The course begins with information on licensing and renewals in Georgia, then moves into the regulations licensed mortgage loan originators must abide by. Such topics discussed include the regulatory aspects of mortgage journals, books, and records; various fines assessed by the Georgia Department of Banking and Financing; and the exemptions to licensing.

Students will also learn about the advantages and disadvantages of seller financing and surety bonds, as well as the implementation of Electronic Surety Bonds (ESB).

To promote comprehension, students will complete a 5-question quiz and short activity after each module. A 15-question final exam will wrap up the course.
