Real estate professionals in Indiana who complete this course will gain 12 hours of continuing education training. The primary focus of this course is the financing of real estate transactions.
The course will explore the principal federal regulations that apply to mortgage lending. The regulations that will be looked at include the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the TILA-RESPA Rule, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
The course will talk about the process of financing the purchase of real estate starting with an examination of the sources of funds. This topic also includes a discussion of mortgage loans, a look at loan programs, and an exploration of non-mortgage ways of financing a real estate transaction.
The course will look at mathematics and how it is used by real estate professionals. This topic will examine everything from fundamental mathematics to the complex equations used to calculate prorated costs or periodic mortgage payments.
The course will examine the taxation of real estate and the ways in which the value of a property is determined.
The course content will discuss foreclosure. This will include a look at the foreclosure process and methods for preventing or stopping a foreclosure.
