This 8-hour course will satisfy the elective portion of Mississippi’s renewal requirements for current licensees. In this course, we’ll review the basics and updates of important topics in real estate.

We’ll begin by talking about the legal descriptions of land, and the types of survey that are utilized. We’ll also discuss the encumbrances that affect real property and real estate sales.

We’ll also cover title issues, including recording and the problem of clouded titles, along with escrow and closing costs. After looking at how properties are assessed for tax purposes, we’ll talk about the different methods of valuation that are used in real estate, and different resources for financing the purchase of real property.

We’ll review the details of sales agreements used in transactions, and how to handle a transaction where the licensee is also the principal.

Finally, we’ll look at the types of foreclosure that exist and the different remedies that can be employed when a homeowner is faced with foreclosure, and financial reports that should be kept regarding real estate transactions.

The course will end with a 196-question final exam.

Growing up in a military family, Sheri became very patriotic, developed an adventurous spirit, and grew passionate about helping people.
