The Nebraska 8-Hour SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Continuing Education Course is specially designed for the continuing education requirements for Nebraska MLOs. This package provides information covering the federal regulation of mortgage loan origination, as well as Nebraska-specific laws, regulations, and procedures. You'll find among the critical topics presented here in-depth looks into the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act), the Nebraska state version of the SAFE Act, ethics for MLOs, lending standards for non-traditional mortgages, fraud and misrepresentation, and subprime and high cost loans.
