This course is designed to address your 2022 Late CE needs.
New Jersey mortgage loan originators need to take eight hours of renewal education every year. This online series includes:
- Module 1: Federal Mortgage Laws
- Module 2: Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection, and Fair Lending
- Module 3: Non-Traditional Mortgage Lending
- Module 4: Renovation Mortgage Loans
Module one covers the SAFE Act, Regulation Z, ECOA, and the TRID Integrated Mortgage Disclosures.
The beginning of module two discusses ethical considerations of businesses and financial services duties. Then we cover fair lending practices and consumer protections under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). We also explain how to identify and stop mortgage fraud.
Module three explains non-traditional mortgage loans and their potential risks. We examine reverse mortgages, adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs), high-cost and higher-priced mortgage loans, information on lending standards, and counseling requirements. Lastly, we discuss FHA, VA, and USDA government loans.
Module four focuses on Fannie Mae HomeStyle® and FHA 203(k) renovation mortgage loans.
All four modules include a five-question quiz and interactive activity. At the end of the course, there's a 25-question final exam.
