CE Requirements to Renew a NJ Mortgage Loan Originator License


In the state of New Jersey MLO license holders must obtain 12 total hours that consist of:

  • 3 Hours of Federal Law Updates
  • 2 Hours of Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection, & Fair Lending
  • 2 Hours of Non-Traditional Mortgage Products
  • 3 Hours of Electives
  • 2 Hours of NJ Specific Law

MLO licensees who did not complete their education before December 31st are required to take Late CE. Licensees must take late CE for each year they have missed.

The 'Reinstatement Period' runs from January 1st until February 28th. During this period the NMLS will be accepting Late CE classes and AYPO will only be selling late CE classes. If you need to take regular CE classes for your 2019 CE requirements during this period please contact our customer service department and we will be happy to help you.

12 Hour New Jersey SAFE Comprehensive 2018 MLO Continuing Education Course

12 Hour Course $ 89.00

At Your Pace Online presents new 2018 MLO courses. These are designed to keep you up-to-date on the changing rules and practices surrounding mortgage origination.

The 12-Hour New Jersey SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) Continuing Education Course will cover all the requirements for continuing education for MLOs in the state of New Jersey. Annual continuing education must include 3 hours of federal law, 2 hours of ethics, which also addresses fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues, and 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending. In addition, there must be 3 hours of undefined (elective) continuing education plus two hours of NJ-specific education (also considered an elective by the NMLS), for a total of 12 hours of continuing education.


Late CE 5 Hour NJ SAFE 2018 State Law Course (10117)

5 Hour Course $ 50.00

This is the 2018 Late CE course. This is only for licensees who failed to complete the CE required for their 2018 renewal during the 2018 calendar year.

This is a 5 hour continuing education course for licensed Missouri Mortgage Loan Originators, specifically designed to cover every requirement under New Jersey law for MLO continuing education. This class includes a 1 hour elective on Home Equity Lines of Credit, alongside a four hour course detailing the New Jersey SAFE laws and regulations, and finishes with a focus on anti-money laundering. 


5 Hour NJ SAFE 2018 State Law and Elective Course

5 Hour Course $ 50.00

This is a 5 hour continuing education course for licensed Missouri Mortgage Loan Originators, specifically designed to cover every requirement under New Jersey law for MLO continuing education. This class includes a 1 hour elective on Home Equity Lines of Credit, alongside a four hour course detailing the New Jersey SAFE laws and regulations, and finishes with a focus on anti-money laundering. 


Late CE: National Requirements (7904)

8 Hour Course $ 45.00

This is the 2018 Late CE course. This is only for licensees who failed to complete the CE required for their 2018 renewal during the 2018 calendar year.

Licensees who hold a Mortgage Loan Originator license are required to obtain continuing education in order to renew that license. This course covers the National Requirements which consist of:

  • 3 Hours of Federal Law Updates
  • 2 Hours of Ethics, Fraud, Consumer Protection, & Fair Lending
  • 2 Hours of Non-Traditional Mortgage Products

 

This course does not cover the state specific content. You will need to purchase a second class in order to fulfill that requirement.
