This course will fulfill 3 hours of continuing education core credit needed by all Ohio real estate licensees for renewal. The Ohio Revised Code dictates 3 hours be dedicated to learning about state and federal regulations pertaining to real estate. Significant legislative changes for the last few years and federal laws that directly affect real estate licensees are covered in this course.

We start with a couple sections dedicated to helping students comprehend legal scope and language. Then, we dive into multiple summaries of the most recent amendments to Ohio codes from various House and Senate bills. We'll analyze the employer-employee relationship in brief, and important cases that defined core concepts and practices in real estate. Federal laws that real estate licensees need to know about are the lead-based paint disclosure, Do Not Call Registry, CAN-SPAM Act, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

After each lesson, students will be asked a single question about the material. Images and links are utilized throughout the course to aid visual learning styles.
