This 16-hour package fulfills Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) requirements for license renewal. It covers essential topics such as updates to TREC rules, contract law, property management requirements, independent contractors versus employees, duties of a principal broker, effective leadership, grievance reporting, material facts disclosure in Tennessee, lending laws, sources of financing, loan programs, government loan options, alternative financing methods, and ethical standards in real estate.
The package begins with the Mandatory Core course, which is divided into three parts. Part one covers updates to TREC rules, including termination of affiliation, commissions, electronic records, and agency relationships. Part two delves into contract law, property management requirements, and distinguishing between independent contractors and employees. Part three explores the duties of a principal broker, effective leadership qualities, grievance reporting, and material facts disclosure in Tennessee.
Next, we move on to the Real Estate Housing and NAR Ethics course, which contains eight sections. This course covers various aspects of financing, lending laws, and ethical practices in real estate. The sections include topics like integrated disclosures and the Truth in Lending Act, sources of financing such as down payment assistance programs and financial markets, general loan concepts and the application process, government loan programs (FHA, VA, and others), alternative financing methods, and the NAR Code of Ethics with professional standards enforcement and arbitration.
Throughout each course, there are continual quizzes designed to test your knowledge and help you apply what you've learned. Once you're finished, you'll have completed all the necessary continuing education requirements for renewing your license at your own pace!
