This 18-hour course includes all of the TREC required topics for licensee renewal, as well as a unique set of courses to meet the 4-hour elective requirement.
The course begins with the broker responsibility class, which addresses topics such as the scope of broker responsibility, management of trust funds, advertising regulations and guidelines, recordkeeping, and establishing written policies.
We'll move on to MCE legal updates to keep licensees abreast of the newest changes in real estate regulations, including those pertaining to property management. Then, we'll review disclosures, addendums, and other contract forms that have been modified. After a review of antitrust laws that licensees must observe, we'll touch on the duties of an agent, and the Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act.
After that we'll review the fair housing regulations that real estate professionals need to be aware of and abide by. Finally, we'll cover techniques and practices licensees can use to increase their safety at showing and open houses. The course includes a 30 question final exam, as required by the state.
