This Virginia 8-Hour SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Continuing Education Course was developed specifically to help Virginia MLOs obtain their continuing education requirements through a smartly organized and professionally presented package. In this course, we'll cover state and federal aspects of mortgage loan origination, including the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act), ethics for MLOs, fraud and consumer protection, lending standards for non-traditional mortgages, subprime loans, and reverse mortgages. You'll also find updates regarding laws, regulations, and enforcement powers in mortgage loan origination in Virginia. Plus, we'll spend time exploring the role of the Truth-In-Lending-Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (TILA-RESPA) Integrated Mortgage Disclosure Act (TRID). And, to help tie it all together, we've provided quizzes and activities designed to test and challenge your mortgage loan originating skills.
