Kentucky Real Estate License Renewal Dates and Continuing Education Requirements
Kentucky real estate licenses must be renewed every two years. The deadline to apply for renewal is March 31. In order to renew, you must first complete Kentucky real estate continuing education requirements by December 31 of each year during the two-year renewal period.
All actively licensed agents (both salespersons and brokers) must complete 6 hours of continuing education courses each year, including:
- 3 hours of courses approved for law credit
- 3 hours of electives
Licensees are able to complete more than 6 hours of CE per year but must take at least 6 hours (with 3 on law) in the first year of their renewal period.
In addition, every four years, salespersons and brokers must take the 6-hour Kentucky Core Class, which will satisfy their full continuing education requirement for that renewal term.
