Complete your continuing education to renew your CA real estate license today. All of our courses can be completed At Your Pace online in order to help you maintain your license. Once you finish your class you will have an official certificate of completion available to print or save in order to report your CE to the DRE.
California 18-Hour Consumer Protection Course
This is an 18 hour course intended for real estate professionals in the State of California. The topics this course will cover are sources of financing, loan and loan programs, other methods of financing, land use control, integrated mortgage disclosures, agency and property management, business practices, investment, valuation, assessment, taxation, and title transfer.
California 12-Hour Consumer Service
This 12 hour course will cover real estate mathematics, lending laws, listing agreements, sales agreements, leases, and the foreclosure process as it applies to real estate professionals in California. The course reviews math as a fundamental skill before discussing the often complicated calculations for real estate transactions, examines lending laws, looks at different real estate contracts, and talks about foreclosure.
California 9 Hour Consumer Service
This 9 hour package of continuing education content will cover lending laws, listing agents, sales agreements, and leases as it applies to real estate professionals in California.The course focuses heavily on lending & disclosures before moving into a discussion of fraud & predatory lending. The course will conclude with a review of leases and common lease clauses.
California 7 Hour Business Practices
This 7 hour package of educational content is designed to provide real estate professionals with an overview of important topics and concepts related to the management of a real estate business. The topics covered in this package generally fall into three areas: management of real estate business, recordkeeping, and safety when showing a property.
Once you’re finished with this course, you’ll be 7 credit hours closer to renewing your license, all at your own pace!

California 3 Hour NAR Code of Ethics Course
This course will provide 3 hours of Ethics credit to help you renew your real estate license in California.
This course is approved to meet the Ethics requirement for your state license and NAR Membership (if applicable).
California 3 Hour Consumer Service
This 3-hour course provides elective credit toward a license renewal. It focuses on practical, step-by-step ways to enhance safety when showing property and further covers liability and liability insurance principles.
California Agency Continuing Education Course
This 3 hour continuing education course on agency is intended for real estate professionals in California looking to renew their licenses.
California Trust Fund Continuing Education Course
This 3 hour course will cover financial records, financial reports, and mortgage loan brokerage as it applies to real estate professionals in the state of California.
California Management & Supervision Continuing Education Course
This course on supervision and management, offices and licensees, and office policies and procedures contains 3 hours of continuing education content designed for real estate professionals in the State of California.
California Risk Management Continuing Education Course
This 3 hour course for real estate professionals in California contains continuing education training on risk management, prevention, and reduction and legal responsibilities.
California 3-Hour Fair Housing
Real estate professionals in California can satisfy their 3-hour continuing education requirement for fair housing and fair housing laws with this course. It looks at these topics on both a national and a state level and concludes with interactive practical exercises.
California 2-Hour Implicit Bias
Real estate professionals in California can satisfy their 2-hour continuing education update requirement with this course. The class focuses on implicit bias awareness, what it is, and how it has historically affected housing in California with an emphasis on the practical steps for licensees so they can mitigate risks of unconscious bias and discrimination and provide equal opportunities to all customers and potential customers.
California 45 Hour Complete Renewal Package
This 45 hour package is specifically designed to meet ALL the requirements of Brokers first time renewal or subsequent renewal and Salespersons pursuing 2nd or subsequent renewal. This package covers risk management, trust fund, sources of financing, land use controls, TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) forms, agency, investment in real estate, valuation of real estate, taxation, ethics, fair housing, lending laws, real estate contracts, and management and supervision of real estate professionals.
California 45 Hour 1st Time Salesperson Renewal Package
This 45 hour continuing education package is specifically designed to allow salespersons in California to meet ALL the training requirements for renewing a license for the first time. This package looks at risk management, trust funds, sources of financing, land use control, lending laws, agency, investment in real estate, valuation of real property, taxation, ethics, fair housing, mathematics, and real estate contracts.
California Real Estate License Continuing Education Requirements
The California Department of Real Estate requires that Real Estate Brokers and Sales Agents complete 45 hours of continuing education every 4 years for license renewal.
Starting on January 1, 2023, new continuing education requirements will be effective. These new requirements are provided below.
Salesperson CE Requirements
For first-time renewals:
- Complete the California 45 Hour 1st Time Salesperson Renewal Package.
The 45 first-time Salesperson CE hours will be broken down as follows:
- 3 hours on ethics
- 3 hours on agency
- 3 hours on trust fund handling
- 3 hours on fair housing (with interactive component)
- 3 hours on risk management
- 2 hours on implicit bias
- A minimum of 18 hours on consumer protection
- The remaining 10 hours on consumer service or consumer protection
For 2nd or subsequent renewals:
- Complete the California 45 Hour Complete Renewal Package.
Broker CE Requirements
For first-time, 2nd, or subsequent renewals:
- Complete the California 45 Hour Complete Renewal Package.
These 45 hours are broken down as follows:
- A 9-hour survey course on the following topics (alternatively, you can take each subject separately)
- Ethics
- Agency
- Trust fund handling
- Fair housing (with interactive component)
- Implicit bias
- Risk management
- Management and supervision
- A minimum of 18 hours on consumer protection
- The remaining 18 hours on consumer service or consumer protection
